1) What is your comic about?
It’s the Story of Indavo, a young member of a highly advanced civilization, who never got into the Exploration Corps, but has taken a discarded vessel and now journeys through the stars. Along the way he has accumulated a few companions; Racheal, a very knowledgable girl from a primitive planet; Gauron T, an ex-thug/gangster/arms dealer robot; and Rula, a girl from Cairn and seeker of revenge against the Immortal Emperor.

Although exploration is usually the stated goal, they always seem to find mystery, intrigue, and mayhem.

2) How did you get started making webcomics?

Well, I not mainstream artist material. Which I find a good thing! The ol’ Intraweb is a great place to display one’s work. It seemed natural, I only wish I had started in 1998, instead of 2003! I’ve always drawn comics from grade school on, only now people read them!

3) Five years from now, what do you see your comic becoming? Will it be over? Will it have grown larger?

In five years, Indavo in its current form will be over. the finale will be long completed. As for future adventures, it’s possible . . . if there’s anyone in the main cast left alive, that is! Muhahahahaha!

4) Tell us about your main character. What are his/her motivations? How did he/she join up with your other characters and why?

Indavo is a young man, that sought freedom to travel the stars. Currently he’s acting out of a moral impulse to make things right, by battling the plans of the Immortal Emperor. He and Racheal travel together because they are kindred spirits! They both dreamed of traveling the Universe. Gauron T was pressed into Indavo’s service as a form of punishment for his past activities. Rula had tranferred her hatred of the Immortal Emporer to Indavo. Now she travels with Indavo in hopes of avenging her fallen resistance friends.

5) Who is your favorite secondary character and why?

That would be the Time Traveller in the Big Hat. Why? Because he travels through time and wears a Cab Calloway-ish style suit. With a Big Hat.

6) What is your favorite comic page?
Oh, that’s hard to say there are so many the stick out in my mind. The space battle in Chapter 19 has a lot good pages.

7) Is there a storyline you’re really looking forward to? What is it about? Give us a spoiler warning if necessary!

The End is nigh! The finale has been in my mind for many a year, if fact it was the first Indavo storyline I conceived of!

Things will look like their winding down in an anticlimatic fashion, then suddenly events will lead to the Immortal Emperor obtaining the Ultimate Weapon(tm). This will lead to a final confrontation between the Confederation, the Immortal Emperor, and Indavo and crew! Armagedden style mayhem, with 75% less Micheal Bay!

8 ) Can you give us a short explanation on how you make your pages? If you have a tutorial or anything, please link it.

It’s all very traditional. I draw the pages on 11 X 17 Bristol board with a drafting pencil, ink with Faber Castel/Alven pensticks. I then scan that into Photoshop and color using Channels.

9) Be your own critic! When it comes to your comic, what are you looking to improve upon?

Oh, probably the writing. It’s not a witty as I’d like it to be.

10) How many more chapters does Indavo have left?

Chapter 50 will be that last chapter!
